ABEFC’s Children’s Ministry seeks to provide a safe, loving, and nurturing environment in which Bible-based teaching and Biblical example allow children the opportunity to come to a saving faith in Jesus Christ and to grow spiritually in the Lord.
Volunteers at the Welcome Center on Sunday morning are happy to direct you to the age-appropriate classrooms. You can also contact the church office during the week if you have any questions.
Awana is an international ministry that assists churches in reaching children with the gospel of Jesus Christ, with a strong emphasis on memorizing the Word of God.
Each week at an Awana club meeting, children will memorize Scripture, listen to a Bible lesson, sing character-building songs, play games, and enjoy other fun activities and special events.
At ABEFC, Awana meets on Sundays during the school year from 4:30-6:15 PM (check-in opens at 4:30) . We have clubs for ages 3-4, K-2nd grade, and 3rd-6th grade.
Our Awana program runs mid-August through mid-May, and kids can join at any time. Click the links below to register now:

We provide nursery during each Sunday service. Infants up to 1 year will be in our Infant Nursery (Rm 102). Toddlers from 1 year to 2 years will be in our Main Nursery (Rm 103). Both of these rooms are downstairs off of the gym.
We also provide a Nursing Mother's Room (Rm 104) with live audio feed. This room is located downstairs on the far side of the gym.
You children are welcome in the service, but if they are having a difficult time please use our Cry Room (Rm 303) with a live video feed. This room is available during the 1st and 3rd services. There are also seats available in the foyer.
The nursery is also available during the Tuesday morning women's Bible studies and at other various events throughout the year.
Sunday Children's Classes
We encourage your children to be in the Worship Service with you on Sunday morning, but for children ages 3 through 2nd grade we offer an optional Children's Church program. These children will be dismissed from the Worship Service before the sermon so they can attend their class.
We also encourage your whole family to attend a Sunday School class. Children ages 3 through 6th grade can participate in a children's Sunday School class.
The 3 and 4 year olds use the Church Time curriculum during all service. We find that at this age it works really well have your child hear the same lesson twice.
Visit the Welcome Center in the foyer to help you locate the classes for your children.
Each summer ABEFC offers a week-long Vacation Bible School during the last week in June. We use the Answers in Genesis VBS program. With a different theme each year, kids learn about Jesus Christ through a variety of games, songs and other activities. VBS is a great environment for learning and making new friends!
VBS 2016 will take place June 20 - 24. The theme is Ocean Commotion.
VBS meets from 9 am to 12 pm. VBS is for ages 4 years (by June 1st) - 6th grade (students going into 6th grade).
Check back during late spring for links to register your child or volunteer.
