ABEFC’s Children’s Ministry seeks to provide a safe, loving, and nurturing environment in which Bible-based teaching and Biblical example allow children the opportunity to come to a saving faith in Jesus Christ and to grow spiritually in the Lord.

Sunday Morning

Nursery:
Infants – 2 years (during 1st and 2nd services as well as the Sunday School hour)

Children’s Church:
3 & 4 year olds (held during 1st and 2nd services)
5 year olds – 2nd grade (children participate in worship with their family and then are dismissed to class before the last worship song)

Sunday School (9:30-10:30 am):
3 year olds – 6th grade

Volunteers at the Welcome Center are happy to direct you to the age-appropriate classrooms.

Awana

Awana is an international, non-denominational ministry that assists churches in reaching children with the gospel of Jesus Christ and training them to serve Him. Throughout the year, children are given the opportunity to participate in weekly club meetings, and in special events such as the Grand Prix, Bible Quizzing, and Awana Games.

Weekly meetings for boys and girls ages 3 through the 6th grade are held on Sunday nights. All clubs meet from 4:45-6:15pm. Check in is from 4:30-4:40pm. Children must be age 3 by September 15th of the club year to participate in the Awana program.

Vacation Bible School

Each summer ABEFC offers a week-long Vacation Bible School during the last week in June. We use the VBS Reachout Adventures program. This year the theme is Upward Bound. This year we will meet June 22, 24-28. With a different theme each year, kids learn about Jesus Christ through a variety of games, songs and other activities. VBS is a great environment for learning and making new friends!

VBS registration will be held on May 5 and 12 in the church foyer between services. If you are not able to register on these dates, please come to VBS no later than 8:45 am on June 22 or 24-28 to register for the week
