Sunday School

We offer adult Sunday School classes (called ABFs or Adult Bible Fellowships) during the 1st and 2nd services. Each of these classes have a time of fellowship over coffee, a time of prayer for each other, and a message revolved around a certain book of the Bible or topic. Here you'll find a description of each of the classes we are currently offering as well as during which service they meet.

Meeting Day:
Sunday
Time of Day:
2nd Service

Our class is designed to promote a daily time in the bible followed by a weekly discussion of what class members learned. We do this by providing discussion questions for self study during the week and then a discussion time on Sunday morning that is facilitated by a trained discussion leader. We conclude our time by praying for one another.

Meeting Day:
One Sunday - Every Other Month
Time of Day:
1st Service

This is a great class for newcomers or those interested in church membership. This class is generally scheduled every other month on a Sunday. We meet during the first service and go over the church's history, staff, what we believe, as well as different ministry opportunities where you can get involved. After the second service is over we pick up children and eat lunch. Pastor Lance joins us to introduce himself and conclude the class.

See our church calendar and look for the next Exploring Austin Bluffs class to sign-up. Be sure to sign up your whole family so we know how many lunches to provide.

The teaching focus of our class is on subjects related to glorifying God in our marriages and the shepherding of our children. Besides biblical messages on these topics, we use video series, personal relationship and parenting testimonies. Even though there are topics specific to marriage, we encourage single parents to join us as well.

Teaching & discussion. After a brief time of praying with & for each other, we study & discuss the Word. Verse by verse, sometimes word by word (this is not fast food!), we'll examine what it says, what it means, what it tells us about God, & how we should respond. With lots of cross-references, we encourage questions, feedback, personal illustrations, etc.

Meets in Room 107 (downstairs and at the end of the hallway on your left)
