Jim & Lynette Karg
Village Missions - USA - Colorado
The Kargs serve with Village Missions in Cotopaxi, CO, a mountain community along the Arkansas River (just 23 miles west of the Royal Gorge). They have been serving with Village Missions for 10 years now, first in rural Kansas. Prior to that, they were members of Austin Bluffs Evangelical Free church for 6 years before God called them into ministry to rural America. Having both grown up in rural areas, Jim and Lynette both know how difficult it can be to find a spiritually healthy church in a small town and that drew them to the ministry of Village Missions.
- Village Missions exists to glorify Jesus Christ by developing spiritually vital churches in rural North America.
- Village Missions provides and helps support a full-time pastor for rural churches like Harlan Church.
- Village Missions' goal is to “preach the word and love the people”.
The Kargs moved to Cotopaxi in November of 2016 to serve Cotopaxi Community Church, which draws from a wide geographic area with people coming from 20-30 miles away in every direction. Cotopaxi Community Church is the only church in this area so they have a big responsibility to shine for Christ in the various mountain communities around them. Pray that God would use the Kargs to equip His church for this task and that God would draw their friends and neighbors to salvation in Christ.
